Government I.T.I. for Girls was established in the year 1991 at Venkatagiri, S.P.S.R.Nellore Dt., and later shifted to Govt. ITI(Boys), Nellore, S.P.S.R.Nellore District present premises of 1.65 Acres in the year 1996. Initially started with the Trades Desk top Publishing, Electronic Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Dress Making, Secretarial Practice with an objective of ensuring a steady flow of skilled personnel and to reduce unemployment amongst the educated youth by equipping them with required skills, education and discipline for suitable industrial employment as well as self- employment, Industrial Training Institute is set up under the Craftsmen Training Scheme in Nellore and are affiliated to the for the following Trades Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Electrician, Fitter and Dress making Trades ,National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) New Delhi through the Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGE&T), in the Ministry of Labour, Government of India, New Delhi. It impart training in engineering and non-engineering trades, as per the syllabus and curriculum approved by Government of India in consultation with the above said Council.
